Special edition of Model Aviation coming your way

COVER-finalAttention AMA members: When you receive your August 2011 issue of Model Aviation, it will arrive along with a true keepsake: a 36-page publication dedicated to celebrating the Academy's first 75 years. This is a supplement to Model Aviation and will arrive wrapped in plastic, with the magazine. The supplement details much of the history behind your association and how it came to become the largest organization of its kind in the world. Interesting personal insights, rare photos and other historical memorabilia are highlighted. We hope members enjoy the supplement and invite them to share their stories about AMA and aeromodeling by going to the special AMA page created for the 75th Anniversary Celebration, www.ama75.com.

Model Aviation's new homepage boldly welcomes visitors.

MAOnline-w The Academy of Model Aeronautics' in-house design team crafted a site that embodies the publication's vision and continued commitment to the AMA and the hobby, sport, and educational pursuit of model aviation. The website will continue to highlight articles found in the magazine. Additionally visitors will discover online exclusives, interactive elements, and supplemental materials enhancing the print edition. Integrated throughout the site are features allowing you to engage with other members, share your thoughts about a story, have a direct line of contact with the publications team, submit a story of your own, and offer your thoughts suggestions. Visit ModelAviation.com to explore the site firsthand. You can visit the site on any computer, mobile device, or tablet. To learn more, click here to enjoy a short video tour hosted by Model Aviation editor Jay Smith.  MA
