No, you don't have to qualify at the IAC to compete in the National Aeromodeling Championships that kickoff June 25 and go through August 11 at the IAC. You just need to register. The Hernando Area Modelers in Spring Hill, Florida, had a mess on their hands. Severe storms this year, not uncommon throughout the country, did substantial damage to the club's field and support facilities. Aeromodeling Legend Maynard Hill, 1926-2011
According to many, if aeromodeling had a Mount Rushmore, Maynard Hill would certainly be a candidate. Maynard passed away this week and leaves behind an incredible legacy that you can read in his autobiography preserved in the AMA History Progam by clicking the link below.
